KSP Post 2 Welcomes a New Lieutenant

HOPKINSVILLE, KY - On Monday, March 1, 2010, Sergeant Jeremy V. Thompson of the Kentucky State Police Post 4 Elizabethtown was promoted to lieutenant and transferred to Post 2 Madisonville. Lieutenant Thompson began his career with the Kentucky State Police in January of 1998.  After graduating from the state police academy, Lt. Thompson was stationed at the Elizabethtown Post and assigned to patrol Larue County.  He transferred to the DESI (Drug Enforcement/Special Investigations) West Section in 2003.  In 2004, he promoted to sergeant and was transferred to Post 1 Mayfield where he served as a squad sergeant.  In 2005, he returned to Post 4 where he served as a squad sergeant and most recently the investigative sergeant.  Lt. Thompson is 36 years old and married with two children.  He currently resides in Vine Grove.
